Mama Is Happy

I just woke up from a nap after a wonderful weekend with my family. Friday night I took all 3 kids to a Halloween Party at the Elks Club in town. They had food and games for the kids and we had a fun evening.  My parents and brother came over Saturday afternoon and spent the busy weekend with us. Saturday we enjoyed a late lunch at one of our fave restaurants, then hurried home to get the kids dressed up for the costume contest and evening festivities. The local discount store was giving away a bicycle for the best costume, but we didn't get a phone call. :(  The church had a Harvest Party with fresh pressed cider, chili cook-off and homemade donuts. The donuts were amazing! From the church we went trick-or-treating down by the elementary school. Many people live out of town and come to trick-or-treat there. Mallory agreed to dress up on Halloween and was so cute! Friday she refused to dress up, but Saturday she wanted to be a pirate. Abby was also a pirate and Drew was a mad scientist. They had so much fun!

Dad headed home after lunch on Sunday but Mom & Trent stayed until after lunch today. Mallory woke from her nap today crying because she couldn't find Unkie and Grandma. Guess she didn't remember saying goodbye. It was wonderful to see them again! I'm feeling refreshed and looking forward to making progress on my Christmas gifts this week.
