Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a wonderful, quiet holiday at home. Andy requested Cornish game hens instead of turkey this year, so that's what he got! The kids thought it was fun to each have their own bird for dinner. We had all the traditional fixings - stuffing, sweet & spicy yams, mashed potatos & gravy, homemade rolls and pumpkin bars- YUM! The diet was totally forsaken!

After cleaning up our dinner mess, we headed up to the property to see the finished septic field work and look over the house site. Excavation will begin next week and we're ready to put the down payment on our home. They think it should be livable by early January - yeah!  I have felt a wave of peace over the whole situation since Tuesday. Monday, I was frazzled and frustrated because the whole situation is not conventional. We're developing and putting a house on land that's not even ours yet. Hard for me to wrap my mind around the details, but we're forging ahead. Tuesday we received a rental application for our home in Lebanon and their references were good, so praise the Lord we found renters! Just when I was really discouraged, He sent the encouragement I needed. We also now have an official Land Purchase Agreement to make the land improvements legal, our Lebanon home rented so we can get financing, and a down payment to get the house built and improvements done. Wow! We have a lot to be thankful for!
